Teaching Training Workshop
These two workshops are designed to help the workshop leaders develop their theoretical understanding and practical skills in relation to learning, teaching and group management within the structure of SERTS. The goal of the first workshop is to introduce workshop leaders to the mission of SERTS, to offer guidance on structuring the information content of workshops and guidance on how to set up a schedule for a workshop.
The second workshop is organized by the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence The objective of the second workshop is to familiarize workshop leaders with the basic concepts and pedagogical methods relevant to small-group facilitation, and to provide workshop leaders with the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon their experience in a way which enhances their workshops. In association with the workshops, workshop leaders are encouraged to observe one another's workshops and exchange feedback for improvement.
