Contact the SERTS program to discuss your interest in participating in the program.
If you are planning a new course, the course must first gain approval from your departmental curriculum committee, then go through the established procedures within WCAS for approval of a new course and to receive approval as an Area 1 Distribution requirement (contact the WCAS Curricular Review Committee and the WCAS General Studies Committee for information and forms). Make sure the course description clearly indicates that there is a requirement that the students participate in 8 hours of workshop outside of class time. SERTS staff can assist you in preparing your course description.
