ANSWER:
No (or at least we hope not), because the students will not arrive unannounced. Each prospective workshop leader is asked to discuss their participation in the program with the head of their laboratory. Prospective workshop leaders are required to provide a letter signed by their advisor indicating that the arrangement has been agreed upon by all parties.
